Daniel Ashini

With deep sadness, the Canadian Boreal Initiative marks the death of Daniel Ashini. Daniel, a founding member of the Boreal Leadership Council, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the age of 49. He leaves a 30-year legacy of leadership and service to his community, to the Innu Nation, and to indigenous people around the world.
